We could throw a few clips from Russian state tv in with animations of how they nuke Warsaw Berlin London and Paris. I don't get why my government is still sending them more explosives than they are sending to Ukraine (actually I do get it but I happen not to agree with it)

@dx yea I just had that very experience... with some extra fees for ignoring it.

It seems after 10 years of previously serious and respected people saying the cloud is the future and that I’m a dinosaur for telling them it’ll be back on prem before the end of the next decade, I was right.

It WAS more expensive.

It WAS less performant.

It WAS less secure.

It WAS a gateway to increasingly more exploitative pricing models.

A lesson in getting carried away with the hype and not looking at the actual trends. This was always going to happen. Threats increasing, and compute, storage, and bandwidth costs reducing faster than your upgrade cycle.

@jay_peper It should be easy if you didn't participate in any wars. And unless you are a Serb, Iraqi or Syrian you will not get prosecuted anyways. Also would war criminals actually admit to that by not ticking that box?

@Ayoun76 @wonka @kklaffki @TwraSun naja das Öl aus Iran/Russland geht ja vor allem nach Indien&China (380GWp solar in 2024 installiert) und die erneuerbaren brauchen jede Menge Bergbau, irgendwann gehen uns Kupfer Silber und andere Metalle aus. Windräder und Solarpanele gehen irgendwann kaputt und unsere Recyclingkapazität ist nicht grade angemessen damit zu copen. Wenn wir kein Öl mehr brauchen ist die Frage wo unser Bedarf an Metallen das Wasser verpestet.

@datenwolf @juergenlibertus wer das eine verringern will will auch das andere verringern... der Effekt ist spürbar wenn man mit dem Zug nach Paris fährt und der dann ab der Grenze 300+km/h macht.

Was mir an so ziemlich jeder Debatte in den Medien zum Thema #Staatsverschuldung fehlt, ist unsere Verschuldung im Vergleich zu den anderen G7 Staaten.
Wir finden Japan so geil, weil da alles funktioniert, es wird aber nie erwähnt das die eine 4mal höhere Staatsschulden haben.
Aber wir lassen lieber alles zusammenfallen, als das offensichtliche zu tun.
