About to re-read #EightySix Volume 7.. and I repeat my reaction to the cover the first time I saw it: We bloody better well get that dance and Lena in that dress! And goddamn do I ever want to see an #86EightySix anime eventually get to that scene…

Yeah, at this point literally EVERYONE who isn’t Shin or Lena can see Shinlena as a happening thing. Those two however… still completely oblivious to themselves and to each other. #EightySix

Oh, and a good number of the bystanders are active #ShippersOnDeck, for all the good it’s doing…

Yeah, #EightySix is a pretty grim series for the most part, but there are moments of healing and humour in there. Dustin ❤️ Anju is a big part of that (since Shin takes FOREVER to work out that, yes, he wants Lena (and Lena takes as long or longer to admit to herself that she wants Shin)).

He doesn’t even flinch when Shin overhears and gives him a brutal shovel talk afterwards.

Yeah, there’s a REASON why Dustin/Anju is damn near as popular with the #EightySix fanfic writers as ShinLena

Dustin RESPECTS Anju’s grief for Daiya, but doesn’t think Anju should be defined by that grief into eternal solitude, she deserves better than that, and he wants to try to give her better than that. #EightySix

Yeah, I just re-read Dustin’s confession to Anju and goddamn does the boy nail it.
