I rolled the credits of the first #Hades in 2021 and put it away. Re-installed it last month to try to reach the epilogue, but even after editing my save file to get 999 nectars and 15 hours (67h total), I have not yet reached the epilogue.

While the dialogue is fun, I'm starting to resent the grid. Wondering whether I should just watch a playthrough of the epilogue or shelve the game for later. Is the epilogue really worth playing?

Also, excellent game. Gameplay improved from the (already excellent) original, maybe graphically a little better. Story and music still very good but noticeably down a bit from the original, which was an all-time classic in those departments.

I'm a bit weird with games in that atmosphere and story matter more than gameplay for me so I guess the original's better, even though I only got to the true ending in II.

But II's still really good. Well worth it.

Nearly done with Hades II - Steam achievements at 100% but haven't maxed all the relationships.

Torn about whether to push on. I stopped Hades I before I wanted to (left too long a gap and lost my muscle memory of the game) so part of me wants to reach my maximal ending point for the sequel.

The other part of me sees there's still a progression lock on that last relationship and can't be bothered if it gets grindy...

Fa anys em vaig llegir el llibre del que parla i els Misteris Eleusins sempre m'han cridat molt l'atenció per diversos motius.
Per cert, Mintha (Menta), era una nàiade i la única amb qui Hades va posar les banyes a Persèfone, anteriorment anomenada Kore (donzella), la seva esposa i reina dels morts, filla de Deméter (que ve de Dea Mater -deessa mare-) deessa de l'agricultura i, clar, dels cereals.

La Menta formava part dels ritus funeraris. La meva teoria és que aquesta associació sorgeix del fet que la menta sembla morir però rebrota dels rizomes que es mantenen vius sota terra quan les condicions exteriors no li són favorables. I de la seva capacitat de reproduir-se i escampar-se, però no per llavor, sinó precisament per aquests rizomes (que són tiges subterrànies), com si creixés del seu esquelet. I, encara més, com si d'un esquelet en poguessin créixer desenes de mentes noves.

Menta, representant el poder del reverdir, del reviure, és com una altra Persèfone, que mentre és reina de l'Hades, de l'inframón, res prospera, però quan ressorgeix, tot torna a la Vida.

És possible que la Menta sigui una reminiscència d'un ritus més antic que l'agricultura, que es va fondre amb la nova versió agrícola de Deméter i Core.

Ich spiele ja gelegentlich "Hades" auf der Switch und finde mich damit ab, dass diese erste Megäre für mich die Endgegnerin ist. Habe sie bei 22 Fluchtversuchen schon ein paar mal besiegt, aber nur durch wildes Knöpfedrücken. Für mich geht dieses Spiel genau bis dahin, und wenn ich die schaffe, hab ich gewonnen, so!

Ok, j'ai passé pas mal de temps sur #absolum et je m'éclate. Le jeu est beau, les personnages sont attachants, les mécaniques de jeu sont bien réglées, et la difficulté corsée !

On peut pas ignorer les similarités avec #Hades, mais les différences sont suffisamment importantes pour que Absolum propose quelque chose de vraiment différent. Je trouve personnellement la mécanique de jeu plus exigente, avec les parades et les clashs.

Pour l'instant, je me fais rouler dessus par le roi soleil, mais c'est qu'une question de temps avant que je lui fasse mager son épée !
