If Syria Normalizes Ties with Israel, It Is Complicit in Genocide – Analysis
As has always been the case, Palestine is the litmus test, and Damascus has so far failed it dramatically.
Israeli media are now reporting that there are advanced discussions between the leaderships in Damascus and Tel Aviv to reach a normalization agreement, which the Trump administration also suggests could expand to other Arab Nations too. After a failure to extract results from the Iran war, this would be Israel’s ideal victory.

Spain Summons Israeli Envoy over ‘Wrong Side of History’ Comment
Spain summoned the Israeli embassy’s chargé d’affaires on Thursday in protest at his “unacceptable” statement that Madrid was “on the wrong side of history” for condemning the “genocide” in the Gaza Strip.
In his strongest condemnation to date, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said Gaza was in a “catastrophic situation of genocide.” He was speaking ahead of an EU summit in Brussels on Thursday.

One soldier described the area as “a killing field,” stating, “They’re treated like a hostile force, no crowd-control measures, no tear gas, just live fire with everything imaginable: heavy machine guns, grenade launchers, mortars.”
Since late May, at least 549 Palestinians have been killed and over 4,000 wounded near aid centers. Soldiers admit they fire live rounds “to drive people away,” sometimes before aid distribution begins, sometimes after it ends.
“There’s no enemy, no weapons,” another occupation soldier said. “We open fire early in the morning if someone tries to get in line… sometimes we just charge at them from close range.”

Since the US-Israeli Gaza Humanitarian Foundation began operating in late May, more than 410 people have been killed by Israeli gunfire or shelling while attempting to access its aid sites, according to UN human rights spokesperson Thameen al-Kheetan at a press briefing in Geneva.
He said the death toll, based on figures from Palestinian health officials and other sources including NGOs, is still being verified by the UN
"Desperate, hungry people in Gaza continue to face the inhumane choice of either starving to death or risk being killed while trying to get food," he said, describing the current aid model as "Israel's militarised humanitarian assistance mechanism."
He warned that "the weaponization of food for civilians, in addition to restricting or preventing their access to life-sustaining services, constitutes a war crime and, under certain circumstances, may constitute elements of other crimes under international law."

自分の娘が（あるいは自分自身が）この Layane Kayyem と名乗る彼女の年齢だったころのことを考えると胸が痛むどころの話ではない
だから、せめてもの自分にできることとして彼女が自分のInstaに載せている写真を絵に描いて、そのアカウントへのフォローと支援を訴えてみた
とりあえず二人くらいそのアカウントへのフォロワーが増えたのかな……？
