We did it. Hundreds of you joined our Disney boycott, and tonight, Jimmy Kimmel is back on the air. The response was so overwhelming that Disney+’s subscription cancellation page was temporarily unavailable yesterday.

But it’s not time to resubscribe to Disney+, ESPN, or Hulu just yet.

Only 2/3rds of America will get to watch Kimmel tonight. Those of us who live in a media market where the local ABC station is owned by conglomerates Nexstar or Sinclair will still get a censored broadcast.

Nexstar and Sinclair are aspirational media monopolies that buy as many local TV stations as the FCC will allow. Now, they’re sucking up to Trump for the right to gobble up even more. But it’s 2025, who needs TV stations anymore?

No matter what media market we’re in, as long as every ABC station isn’t showing Kimmel, we’ll be watching the highlights the next morning on YouTube.

The best way to complain that will have the biggest impact?
1. See if you have a Sinclair or nextstar station in your area.
2. Watch the local newscast tonight or sometime this week.
3. Note the companies that bought TV adverts.
4. Call them and let them know you will boycott them until they quit supporting that media company.
Trust me. I've worked in TV for 45 years. Nothing you do will have a greater impact. Nothing. This is a much more effective tool than canceling Disney. We did cancel Disney but calling Joe's Jeep dealership who buys an ad on the local nextstar station will have a big impact. Joe doesn't need the grief. He will find another station to buy adverts on.

If Sinclair-owned, KDNL-30 (ABC) in #stlouis, won't run @jimmykimmel.com, I will boycott the station and all its advertisers #BoycottSinclair #BoycottABC
