6 major events in 4 days in London last week. Then returning home and being really sick.
I'm actually looking forward to a desk day! One photo for now. This was the National Emergency Briefing in London on Thursday.

It was - a thing. A fairly big thing. I have written a blog post/press release for #MediaRevolution . I have since run out of energy to post it. Hoping for fortitude to return tomorrow.

'For more than three decades, he has been a fixture of the British political scene, arguably a weather-maker like no other.'

Says the Guardian in this article about Farage.

This one sentence does so much damage, it attribute power to Farage that he doesn't really have and it hides it from the malignant media, who hand him that power.

Farage was a rascist bully back then, he's turned into a fascist bully now. But he says what Marshall, Murdoch and Rothermere want to hear, which means they give him a huge platform.

When they do the BBC does, andThe Guardian also follows suit.

Culture is downstream of media, which is why we need a #MediaRevolution to enable a democratic revolution.

Whilst I am encouraged to read this article. We need much more than a debate, we need to enable the current government to regulate media ownership. Our current media serves billionaires not the rest of us.

We need a Media Sovereignty Bill.

The editor of the Sun pitched for the director general role of the BBC. The voice of Murdoch speaks.

Alongside all the Zionist, anti-trans, anti LGBTQ+, anti diversity anti climate rhetoric there is this peachy statement.

“They only conspiracy theory that needs debunking these days is the idea that the poor BBC is a victim of some shadowy right wing conspiracy to destroy the BBC”

This needs debunking, it’s neither secret, nor shadowy as this editorial shows, it’s in plain sight.

The BBC has some massive failings and is the UK’s most trusted source of information. It needs reforming not destroying, The Media Reform Coalition have plan for the BBC and it’s a good one. All part of the #MediaRevolution we need.

"The advisers said the public disagreed with calls from the rightwing media for tough action, such as a ban."

Yet the government chose to follow a policy the billionaire media owners wanted, rather than public consensus.

Part of our daily reminder that we need a #MediaRevolution and fast

Whilst the UN is warning of wholesale civilizational collapse at COP30, the Telegraph have pushed the BBC into providing a massive distraction.

Every newspaper bar the Express, Mirror and Guardian has the BBC on the front cover.

The first port of call for a fairer and safer society for everyone must start with a #MediaRevolution.

"UK activist group #MediaRevolution has launched Mo-Me, a new #fediverseclient, in collaboration with the #Newsmast Foundation. The launch coincides with the group’s “Media Liberation Day” campaign targeting billionaire media ownership. The pitch of #MoMe is editorially curated channels, rather than algorithmic or purely chronological feeds, with Newsmast providing the infrastructure while Media Revolution handles curation and moderation."

Revolutionary friends. We are so pleased to have made such huge steps towards #MediaRevolution on #MediaLiberationDay and so excited by next steps. 🎉

But we are also pretty exhausted!!

There's much to follow up on, many threads to tie in...and a strong knowing that this is a beginning not an end.

The media create and maintain the 'perception gap', which can be described as the gap between the political policies that the public want and the policies they get.

The policies they get in many areas are the policies that the billionaire media owners want.

Governments are too scared of the media to put in place the policies the public want.

#MediaRevolution exist to change the media enable them to bridge the perception gap.

We're still catching our breath from Media Liberation Day - and have lots of follow up work, photos, video and posts to share.... but first, the core team at Media Revolution really want to say an absolutely MASSIVE thank you to everyone for the support and for getting on board with the lead up, the events of the day and the overall concept of the campaign.

The foundation feels and looks strong, a diverse community of people and organisations who care deeply about having media that works for people for planet, and who are prepared to work together for that to happen - and it's only just getting started.

Off the back of #MediaLiberationDay (yesterday) we have this @SkyNewsUK article exploring the influence that the billionaire owned media weild on our country.

Despite the increasing support for many carbon free policies (net zero), the increasing uptake of air sourced heat pumps and EVs (bites tongue about personal cars being a low carbon transport solution). Reform are still polling the highest.

As far as life on this planet is concerned low carbon policies are the top priority.

As far as the next election is concerned migrants are the billionaire media moguls top priority.

Their wall to wall coverage of that issue is artificially elevating Reforms support among the electorate.

People are voting against their own interests.

This is one key reason we need a #MediaRevolution
