@ronsboy67 I don't know the details of who owns what in terms of production and distribution rights, but if #tvN has the intellectual property, then #Netflix isn't the only international VOD platform out there. Disney+, Amazon or even Viki could buy the streaming rights.
The show is successful, the ending hints at a 2nd season and the political turmoil for SK doctors might as well calm down. If it doesn't, there's always international viewers to target.

As for multi-season dramas, I believe it makes financing easier. When production knows the first season is being successful, they can immediately use the ad revenues to start writing/filming a sequel.
Personally I don't have a strong opinion about multi-season contents. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Dr Romantic is a successful 3-seasons k-drama, for instance.
