Brilliant use of AI that I heard about at a conference this week: ask AI to pretend it's an interior designer. Then, walk through designing a space together with the tool
For me who feels overwhelmed by decorating, this feels like a game-changer

@TJSmith
I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed
Asking for advice is a good step tho
Personally, I find that guided meditation helps me settle down a bit
This is not patriotism
20th century:
Time is money
21st century:
Attention is money
Mundus non sufficit
Nickelback is the reason for life on earth
(So says science)

Yeah - from what I'm seeing, 18 just sort of "happened" because that's when formal education basically finished for most people
No good basis for the number 18. Just historical chance
@ewdocparris
Interesting analogy
I might also add: science is all about asking questions
Religion is all about declaring Truths (and believing them without question)
@dangerousmeta beautiful!
@SergKoren
Indeed!
Those who seek joy and wonder will surely find it
Those who do not will only come across it rarely and by accident...

Asking questions for more information is a sign of engagement and critical thinking.
I've actually read about this topic quite a bit. I generally don't spend time on Twitter though.
Your harsh tone precludes me from being interested in any further productive conversation with you, which is a shame. It seems like you're a smart person.

By "these companies" I assume you mean the companies that used SVB as their lender?
I haven't seen any reporting on how many companies will actually be affected. Similarly - not all the companies doing business with SVB had it as their only bank.
Do you have any links to show how many companies will be directly impacted?

So cool!
And our bodies are literally slow-burning chemical reactions fueled chiefly by energy captured from the nuclear explosions of our nearest star....

The first thought that comes to my mind: employers would also fire a lot of people who don't live as close as possible to their workplace
A lot of those who can't afford to live near their job but also don't have jobs that can be remote (waiters, home aids, grocery clerks) would be in terrible straits...

My beef isn't with DST per se. It's with changing the clock
Pick a time and stick with it!
@thorncoyle
Makes me think about how we should also treat (and uplift) ourselves just as we would a dearest friend
😊 wonderful thoughts!
@ParanoidFactoid
The corporations wouldn't like that very much...
