Time to burn

From the right, a village occupies a narrow strip of land ar the foot of a cliff, yellow and green with gorse. The small cottages are stone, with slate or tile roofing, and some are whitewashed. The space is so narrow, the village is mostly just one row of housing. The sky is clear, the sea a deep blue.

Something in the quality of the light at Knidos brought me back to the Greek mythology films I saw as a kid. I was half expecting the Kraken to emerge from behind the headland.
