@LibrarianRA Indeed. Who could forget the “Mack the Knife” parody? Now if only the prices were the same as 1986. The food still tastes like it’s from then. :)
Pop culture and music idiot savant. Memes and android dreams. Put on my red shoes and dance the blues.

@LibrarianRA I remember him well. I was in middle school at the time. The commercial would come on and I’d ask my mom if we could go grab some Big Macs. She usually relented as my dad was often keen to the idea as well.
@LalaKroniq I remember when having an SVGA monitor meant the same.
@LalaKroniq Yeah I just saw that, too when posting it up here! Will STEM edible undies be next? Oi!
So this is a real thing you can buy for the kids on #Amazon. I…I’m not sure how to react. I’m not offended, just seriously confused. Seems like more of a gag (no pun intended) you’d get for an adult, but maybe this is the natural evolution from making turd and phallic shaped things with a Play-Doh Fun Factory. #wtf #poop
Surf’s up.
@LibrarianRA How did I miss out on this back then? Never mind, I’m glad I did.
This is the first #Beatles album my mom bought for me when I got into them as a mid-‘80s teen and bought Rock and Roll Music Vol. 1 on my own at Walmart on a six buck tape.
Mom was thrilled. She took me to the Record Bar at the mall and suggested 1962-1966 would be a great place to start. It was. I’m surprised there are any grooves left on these #records.
My fave Beatles album became the White Album. It’s still a fucking masterpiece. Anyway, thank you, mom for this great gift.
So much going on here. So many absent points of IQ.
@Blueskyfox Yeah I’m in Pittsburgh and the Polish bakeries go overtime on them around Fat Tuesday as per tradition. I lived in Philly a few years in the late ‘00s and worked in Camden. Small world.
@Blueskyfox Those are so good. I get ‘em every year.
I love the night life. I love to bogey. On the disco round…yeah.

The first time I ever heard this song was when I saw #AndyKaufman performing it while doing his laundry on stage on TV. I still think of him whenever I hear it.
That cat’s something I can’t explain. #catsofmastdn #kitty

And #MrRoarke? He showed his, too
@kkind I swear that sounds familiar to me. Maybe we run in the same circles on other social media.
The Clash’s #LondonCalling is the greatest double LP, period. “Rudie Can’t Fail” is my favorite song from it. The part I like best is at the end where the band sings the “Rudie can’t fail” refrain and Paul Simonon’s bass does that little three note #reggae bop along with it. It’s simple, it’s a #groove, and it makes me feel #alive every time. #TheClash #JoeStrummer #MickJones #PaulSimonon #TopperHeadon
