So I didn't know large breed puppies do the Lean-On-Your-Legs thing that the adults do. That has always been my favorite dog behavior, and to experience still-small Teddy puppy giving me the lean is so utterly charming to me. #DogsOfMastodon #Puppy #GoldenDoodle

#Theater nightmare = sold out final Christmas shows and SEVERE weather scheduled to hit. Box Office staff are unsung heroes. And deserve shift drinks if we all weren't scared of driving home in the freezing dark awful weather ourselves.

@Doohickie My husband and I are already looking at Mexico for next year. Heh. The kids are finally old enough and it's mostly his family that are the issue. He knows, but there's only so much he can do. But he's had enough, too. So there's that. Good advice.

@Chip_Unicorn Quiet time to read my books. We have a new puppy (my first), and while I love him and knew what it would mean to properly care for him, he IS a baby (and the family is absolutely all helping), the sleep deprivation combined with the holiday prep is affecting me. I miss my down time.

I want some of them as jewelry. He shared, I think it was on Instagram, some time ago, how he made them. It's all just fascinating.

Little bit of #magic and #mystery by the tree today. This balloon somehow ended up on the heat register. It's been there for hours now and does this perfect dance on repeat every time the heat kicks on. I have no idea how it hasn't bounced away or been blown off course yet but it's too neat, I'm not touching it.

Gonna see how long it lasts.

I followed #JoinIn because Christmas is a lonely and isolating time for me every year, as I am always just an exhausted workhorse, making sure everyone in 2 families is beautifully fed and hosted well, and enjoying themselves, while I cook endless food and clean in the background. Too many difficult dynamics result in me being ignored and I always just want it to be over. And this year my Dad is gone, after having crashed a plane in February and passing in April. I'm just... sad and tired.
