Bristolians' help needed!

Bit of a longshot perhaps, but my daughter is off to Bristol in September to study for the SQE (Solicitors Qualifying Examination) and will be in need of accommodation.

She's studious, clean and tidy, sociable but not a habitual party animal. Total ally, but is in her early 20s and has all the absolute certainty about societal ills which comes with that.

She will pay her rent, on time, and pull her weight. She won't cover her stuff with name labels or leave passive-aggressive notes on the fridge.

If anybody has any insights into the (slightly more mature) student accommodation in Brizzle, a room to rent or even an offspring in a similar position, with whom to join forces, please drop me a message.

@ronsboy67 Yes, Hot Stove League was great, but I prefer him in Good Manager.

Watching Good Manager with my sister at the moment and it's such a great drama! Namkoong Min is fabulous in it, by far his best role. I wonder how much of what he does is improvised.

I don't have a green thumb at all. I'm known to have killed even the most unkillable house plants. So I am therefore really proud that my various spider plants, which I received as babies from a friend and have potted in leca, are doing really well. I did try leca before but maybe because I had to repot from soil to leca, the plants didn't take. Whereas I potted these straight from the motherplant into leca and they are all doing very well.
My friend also gave me an elephant ear plant which is a lot more finicky and it's also still alive. I got it as a tiny sprout and it's been growing every day. I'm so proud of myself 😊

Off to the Netherlands next Friday and my flight leaves at 6:45am so I need to leave the house around 3:10am. When I booked my ticket, we had a working car but it's in the shop right now and won't be done until after I'm back from my trip so I'll have to walk 40 minutes to the train station and then take a bus to the airport. I don't mind the bus (which I would have taken anyway), but walking 3km with my backpack at 3ish in the morning isn't something I'll relish 😬.
