@brianvastag - they get the job done. A little more expensive, but with the tariffs that have been in place on Chinese solar panels since 2014 - they’re close. The US have imported panels from China for a while. Southeast Asia has been the rage since 2018-2020.

Price of electricity is up enough that even domestic stuff works.

@brianvastag - haven’t bought a solar panel from China in more than five years. Most of my modules are made in Georgia.

My hobby: trolling the solar industry by, for example, accurately describing SEG Solar, whose website says "Born and Raised in the USA" as "a US firm spun out of Chinese Jiangsu Seraphim in 2023".

After Vestas' 15 MW offshore wind turbine, we've seen Chinese manufacturers take the lead with wind turbines of up to 20 MW. Now Dongfang Electric makes another leap:
26 MW offshore wind turbine rolls off its production line in Fuzhou, Fujian, China. Rotor diameter: 310 meters!

The Republicans denied and continued to deny climate change for decades. Two weeks ago, 82 of them refused to vote new money for FEMA. DeSantis refused to take calls from the White House about emergency aid for Florida. Now GOP leader Mike Johnson refuses to call Congress back into session to vote for more disaster aid.
The GOP will do anything to make it look like the government doesn't work, including sabotaging it.
