A really nice comparison of the two black holes observed by @ehtelescope https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOESt-G34vE #ourblackhole
wtf...why are these the people in charge...
"The draft Supreme Court opinion striking down Roe v. Wade heavily references Sir Matthew Hale, a 17th century Brit who dehumanized women."

200 pages into Insomnia, my 5th grader asked me to coach his Battle of the Books team. A fun diversion! But a diversion.
I’m back at it. I’d still like to claim the Tower within a year but I’d also like to read Psalm for the Wild Built once I’m done with Insomnia.
It’s more and thicker books than I’d counted on. I took many breaks to read other authors. 2 of the kids were born along the way, wiping out my reading time. So after 8 or so years, I haven’t even reached book 4 in the 7 book series.
Toward the end of 2021 and Needful Things (not Tower related but I was interested) I resolved to knuckle down, read nothing else, and finish this within a year. Bought the remaining books so they’d loom over me.
Years ago I decided to reread the #DarkTower series by #StephenKing , but this time to read all of the other books tied into it, in order. Despite being a #constantReader since childhood, I’d never gotten around to It or The Stand.
It’s been interesting! When I got to the revised edition of The Gunslinger I read it with the original next to me, and a guide to the changes on my phone. The person who wrote the guide went into great detail but omitted everything related to sex. Curious.
Since I’m here again, #introductions again. I’m married and we’re raising 3 kids in Maryland. I'm an #archivist who does a lot of systems/tech work. I like cartoon robots (#Transformers, #BeastWars, #LostLight, #MachineRobo, #Gundam, #Macross). I like #StarTrek but we’re usually behind on it because we’re busy with the kids. The #Wipers, #DepecheMode, #TheCure, #Ramones, and #BadMoves are all pretty cool. Hi.
@damnyouwillis I want the shoulder stickers to be wider,,and for all of them to be tampos. But that’s pretty.
This I guess, but without the part where Biden stays in.
So that's ominous.

Twitter and Facebook keep tolerating this threat, arguably encouraging it, in the name of profit and I’m furious and sad and exhausted that so many people think they’re stuck there.

There’s a whole genre of Reddit posts where teens ask how to get vaccinated without their parents consenting.
Just. Just so you know, that’s a thing.
