I was painting some text for a book, then I suddenly thought ‘oh I should record this for social’.

Then I stopped and started feeling annoyed. No, why should I record myself working for social? I don’t owe society a look at how I work. Especially since most people ignore my videos anyway.

People want authenticity; my authenticity is working alone, in private, possibly with my cats walking all over my work table.

That’s how it really is, and other people aren’t entitled to see it.
