Hey folks... despite my last project falling through, I decided to take the time to finally get my ducks in a row and put together a portfolio. #gameaudio will continue to be my passion and I'm looking forward to what the new year brings.

Give it a look and listen! ▶️

Good night Pigeon Sim... It was wonderful working with HakJak and I am so sad that Tiny Build shut us down.

I have a whole wonderful team of developers who did amazing work so please feel free to loop me in on openings that I can help send to them.

Check out the gameplay trailer for Pigeon Simulator - fresh from Gamescom!

There may also be some local theater companies that run a season using their professional company cast members.

I don't consider community theater, summer stock or primary school performances to be a primary standard of performance. While some have great talent, it's a comparison of amature vs pro. Not that amature is bad... it's a great outlet and a way to gain experience.

There are professional off Broadway touring shows. So one does not necessarily need to go to NY to experience it. :)

When it comes to film adaptations, a lot of casting choices often ride on who will bring money in. It's a name game at that point.

But casting for Broadway shows, they aren't typically going to slack on that. (Again exceptions can be made)

A very common discussion :)

Technically, it's considered a "megamusical". There are some other distinctions between opera and musicals that, admittedly, I didn't point out, but also, there are always exceptions.

Most of Webber's works are megamusicals. It was his schtick. Though many of them were referred to as rock operas.

@KelsonV @glassbottommeg

Operas differ from musicals in that in an opera the entire performance is singing with no dialogue. It's a format difference - not a talent or performance difference.

dance is pretty easily understood considering typically there's no singing or spoken lines - though not always - depends on the choreographer's vision.

@glassbottommeg
Musical theater is an entire study in many higher education and the study includes a combination of acting, vocal performance and dance. It's an intensive study that also involves other multi-discpline studies alongside the performance aspect.

My college background was in theater specifically.

@glassbottommeg

If for some reason auto-tune is needed to correct pitch issues, ideally you shouldn't even know it's being used.

Unless they're using it to an extreme for a particular effect.

@glassbottommeg

There will always be differences between live performances and filmed. Buuut... I disagree that musical theatre is about imperfect performance - just that musical theatre performers are often given training on improvisation to handle when things go awry during the performance.

Often you see movies or TV musicals either using a cast that isn't trained in musical theatre (though sometimes they do use actual trained vocal performers)

We have a gyro food truck in town. This is their version of gyro fries. Fries tossed in lemon, topped with gyro meat, cucumber tomatoes and onion, tzatziki sauce and feta cheese.

Got a new phone finally which also means new camera and wow! The portrait mode is something else! Foxy and Zydeco helped me test it out.
