It’s me, hi!

This is why social discovery on the Fediverse doesn’t work well.
Members of marginalized communities want to find affinity.
Hashtags don’t work.
@ErickaSimone it depends, sometimes I really enjoy it and other days I feel like I’m going insane of boredom
My supervisor is pissed because I ordered 45 plates and they were a bit more expensive than I thought they would be 😅
@Ductos I like that hidden object game!

Once again, I searched my #Mastodon timeline in vain for toots to refer to in articles or posts; I’d either failed to bookmark them or their relevance occurred to me only later.

Instead of a shorter work week, I’d find fewer daily hours and a 5-day week more appealing: If I only have to work (say) 4 hours, it gives my day structure. It’s the long hours that are draining.
Ideally, work would not be something I have to get over with so that I can live my “actual life” but something that complements the rest of my life.
There are few jobs that no one likes to do (*if* compensation is fair). For those, fewer work hours and more money per hour can be a solution.
