yes there were a lot of stories that mentioned issues with the returns
but these issue were, afaik, relatively minor - NOT , say, things that point to felony crimminal violations
given how complex our tax code is, and how complex Trump's returns are, it is almsot certain there are a lot of debatable points in the returns that fall in some grey area
I don't know how many people work for the Manhattan DA, but this suggests that this was a lot of work for the DA's office, and not something they can do on a routine basis
Indeed, it sounds like the 1.6 million in fines might not even cover what it cost the people to prosecute this case
