Looks like much of #Cristobal is onshore just west of Ciudad del Carmen in the Bay of Campeche. We await the 11am from NHC. It made a nice run at ramping up last night and this morning.pic.twitter.com/OybSbFaj4S twitter.com/JimCantore/status/ Published at Wed, 03 Jun 2020 14:19:53 +0100

Plenty of tropical moisture will travel northward with #Cristobal and impact the northern Gulf coast & FL. Could be a big drought denter for some of these areas while others may get too much rain. GFS shows moisture surge at 700mb and the east side loaded nature of the storm.pic.twitter.com/N9Ooqs3AnD twitter.com/JimCantore/status/ Published at Wed, 03 Jun 2020 09:34:17 +0100

#Cristobal will likely landfall at some point today then a key to its future will be revealed. How much time does it spend over Mexico & how does that impact the small core of the storm? ECMWF starts it back north as a more unraveled system w/ potential USA landfall Sun/Mon.pic.twitter.com/pM6g7DlhcI twitter.com/JimCantore/status/ Published at Wed, 03 Jun 2020 09:28:36 +0100

#Cristobal still very east side loaded and much closer to the coast this morning, but a lower pressure and as you can see the ability to produce very heavy rain.pic.twitter.com/PS85ZpieM9 twitter.com/JimCantore/status/ Published at Wed, 03 Jun 2020 09:11:51 +0100

Official NHC 4cast keeps it buried close to land and moves it south before moving it north. I think once it moves north it will keep going. No way of knowing shear that far out, but i'd expect some. Otherwise waiting on when we get the C storm which could be earliest since 1851pic.twitter.com/HQhGPtH80r twitter.com/JimCantore/status/ Published at Tue, 02 Jun 2020 09:30:25 +0100

Current upper air pattern has nice upper low over west TX enhancing the outflow over the central american gyre, part of which contains #TD3 It will be interesting to watch into the weekend how much this system develops before it moves northward. Tricky until then close to land.pic.twitter.com/XXm4YeMw8S twitter.com/JimCantore/status/ Published at Tue, 02 Jun 2020 09:15:33 +0100
