@parkermolloy I’m going this is a short term trend… otherwise we’ve got so many problems. A generation of youth (myself in clouded) were promised that if we go into deep debt we’d have a chance… looks like the deal may have gone bad.
Thinking about all the recent layoffs in tech, media, etc., and how so many of the "Nobody wants to work anymore!"/"Where'd the go-getters go?!"/"The rise of 'quiet quitting'" type articles in the past year or so overlooked the effect that the "hey, maybe we'll just lay a bunch of people off because we want to make a little extra cash" culture the business world has fostered might have on, well, everything involving worker morale/sense of loyalty/etc.

Our society is so car dependent that on days like this, authorities tell us to “stay at home” because the assumption is that if we leave the house, we will be getting into a car.

Twitter gave me so many opportunities in 2021 and 2022, but Elon has made it inhospitable.
After a couple weeks with just having its notifications turned off, I’m proud to say the app has been deleted from my phone as of today.
