@silvermoon82 Very clever. Im just using a servo tester until I get all the requirements dialed in.
@silvermoon82 Nice! What are you using to control your servo?
My wife teaches STEM at a special ed High School and asked if I could make a version of a $250 pouring concept toy with adaptive switches.
I knocked out a proof of concept before lunch with stuff I had laying around.
@checkervest I want office lizards too!
@alice @deviantollam Don't pick locks you rely on. You could jam the lock into a non working state.
When you are picking a lock, you're manipulating parts that a key doesn't. I've pulled a top spring into the core when the lock had a too short drive on above a short key pin, the spring extend into the core during normal use but the correct key lifted it out of the core to the shearline. In picking the lock, that pin wasnt lifted. I also had a friend flip a master shim on edge, jamming their apartment door.
TLDR - Don't practice lock picking on your front door.
If you land at Schiphol today and leave through baggage reclaim halls 3&4 between 12:00 and 13:30, you will be undergoing a customs check. This is a so called "Stiptheidsactie", where employees follow all rules to the letter. It's kind of like a strike, meaning it is used as a method to get the employer at the negotiation table. A full strike is rather rare in the Netherlands. These actions work GoodEnough™ most of the time too ;)

@DM_Ronin @david_chisnall @nwf congratulations!
US Judiciary deletes a chapter on #climate science in the newest edition of its reference manual on scientific evidence because apparently science is a left-leaning concept and MAGAs complained.
did my civic duty today:
went to a local donut shop
noticed they had a new ring camera up.
i ask the nice hispanic girl behind the counter "hey you know ice can see through that ring camera, right?"
she goes UHHHH NO WTF I HAVE ONE AT HOME
"tear it out of the wall. yank the power. ring gives ice free access to those"
@Viss @briankrebs Happy birthday Phobos! LockEx turns 10 this month too!
Looks like someone built a tool to check your LinkedIn network for names from the Epstein documents. Soon I expect other tools will follow to work with other social media platforms.
This is what the beginning of community accountability looks like. Just because the legal system is captured doesn’t mean there are zero consequences.

Yes, I know I am mentioned in the files, but I can’t control when other people mention me.

This is an immensely significant document that continues to get virtually no attention in US media—but lots abroad. In Jul 2015, Epstein arranged a meeting between a known highest-level Russian intel operative, Sergey Belyakov and Peter Thiel, the man who owns Palantir, a key contractor to the US intelligence community. Under US law, Thiel, as a holder of high level security clearances, was required to report this contact to USG. It does not appear he did so.
