Someone put a coffin in the garbage room in my apartment complex, and the residents' Facebook group is going crazy over it.

It's been checked - empty, but it's an actual coffin and not coffin-shaped shelves or something.

Ice cores show us that the last time earths atmosphere was 400ppm the global temperature was 3-4°C.

The earth is in catch up. 1.5°C was never a reality it was part of campaign to discredit scientists who said we would go beyond the Paris agreement in our lifetime. This campaign was led by Proff Michael E Mann, a climate scientist. Proff Mann, using no scientific data hypothesised that #Doomism = Inaction and this is the mantra of many #ClimateOptimists.

The streets and alleys of the Gaza Strip were almost completely submerged from rain on Nov. 8, 2022, coinciding with the beginning of the winter season.

The ongoing Israeli blockade on Gaza, along with four Israeli-waged wars in the last 15 years, has exacerbated the flooding as infrastructure has been bombed and upgrades and development stunted. Residents suffer from unsafe drinking water, power outages, and continually worsening living conditions.

In a #ClimateEmergency #COP28 will be held in the #UAE #dictatorship one of the countries which has directly benefitted from the destruction of the planet. A country which has destroyed reefs to build pointless vanity projects.

@witchescauldron @UncensoredNews I'm also interested in how communities can use their WiFi to create adhoc networks to carry basic traffic like texts. When the grid goes down phone WiFi and home WiFi if on a UPS could maintain basic local communication.

Ideally this should be free open source stuff or does I already exist?

@hamishcampbell I would be curious as to how you think we can salvage something from the Chaos of #collapse when most people barely grasp what is happening now. We are in the middle of the 6th mass extinction. Beyond 1.5°C of warming Agriculture starts to collapse, we lose the ability to grow grain at scale

40 & 50° summers become normal. Famine, war & mass migration are already under way.

I know how to plan for #collapse (please don't call me a prepper), though i am a bushcrafter. Indimedia could be a perfect place to manage & share collapse information & news.

The so called "Doomers" point of view is a red pill and hard to swallow yet entirely based on peer reviewed science.
