This week the EU and its Member States adopted La Hulpe Declaration on the Future of the European Pillar of Social Rights setting the tone for social policy for 2024-2029.
We welcome this declaration and its focus on strengthening the #EUDisabilityStrategy as well as its emphasis on better mainstreaming disability issues into EU policies.
Roma with disabilities are particularly at risk of intersectional discrimination, facing barriers that deepen isolation and escalate poverty risks.
Beyond disability-related challenges, they confront antigypsyism and racial discrimination.
This is systemic failure that demands urgent action.
