At the beginning of the 1900 in the Egyptian Hall at Picadilly, where presented great magicians like Maskelyne, Cook, David Devant, Harry Kellar!!
And may spiritism sessions was performed there.. all scam, but great for storytelling!

... A delight to see Prof Hoffmann's Modern Magic book mentioned!!!! As well as The Expert at the Card Table.
Especially some details like "the signature of the real author" (of the Erdnase) or that the trick of the Bullet Catch was injured many people, the last one was a Chinese!!! (Clear reference to Chung Ling Soo)
