Every time I hear Britpop on the local Radio I turn immediately to other Radio. I just can’t stand it.

@micahflee 2023 was the year of the Linux Desktop!

- Mastodon, of course depending on the instance, has mods but I don’t think it works as effectively as with X/Threads.

- Mastodon has a nice open API, it has lots of potential for integration with lots of clients.

- content on Mastodon uses interactions with hashtags. Content seems to die faster.

- X has a huge amount of misinformation and it promotes toxic content. I don’t see this on Mastodon as of now.

- Mastodon probably won’t never be used by the masses.

Toot to my followers: some random thoughts between X/Threads vs Mastodon

- I miss the “For You” tab on Mastodon. I learned and got lots of new info outside of my circles.

- The majority of Mastodon users are Geeks. I want to be able to connect to non-Geeky audiences and get different points of views.

- There are lots of smart people (or at least smarter than me) on X. Why haven’t they left if X is that bad ?

- X/Threads have lots of clickbait content. I’m getting tired of it.
