AI roasting me for no reason is uncalled for
Just setting up my elephnt
AI roasting me for no reason is uncalled for
AI mode shoved into my search.
I anticipate my usage behavior differs from that of how I use Gemini.
Wondering if I prefer AI Mode for immediate, search-related queries, OR multi-turn, conversational interaction with Gemini/GPT {insert AI chat bot here}> not a fan of chatbots
Yeah so Gemini in Calendar is one of those AI things that fade into the background and never get used
I think I want to start tracking how AI gets shoved into every product I use and then judge whether AI is needed. This experimental feature in GCal claims to answer questions about my events & schedule new ones. I'll give it a try and opine

Tested SmolAgents with a real-world task: using Gemini API to analyze USPS Daily Digest emails and decide if braving the snow for the mailbox is worth it (lazy, I know!).
Lessons Learned:
* Rate Limits are REAL: Google and others have serious defenses.
* Agents are FRAGILE
* Costs Add Up:
* We Need More EVALS:
AI agents need more than just LLMs—infrastructure resilience is key. API limits, costs, and edge cases matter.
More thoughts to come!

I am building a tool to help AI/ML teams integrate ethical principles, transparency, and fairness into every stage of development. Responsible AI shouldn't be an afterthought—let's make it part of the workflow from day one.

Hate to pour water on the o1 model hype but it's still built atop a language model and thus susceptible to language model issues. All the RL tricks and perf > cost benefits are good and we do see an incremental perhaps even step change in perf but CoT does not a reliable information store make. 🤷🏾♂️
Pretty please subscribe to my YouTube.
I need almost 200 more to start monetizing my channel 😔 https://youtu.be/_i-HFvdCATs?si=98XDP-hYkTJ9dXIR
Secure, Convenient, and Elegantly implemented aren't words I'd usually associate with an auth or password based system but pass keys checks all 3 boxes.
Passkeys should be required for all apps so we can finally kill passwords.
No one uses the word delve. We know you used ChatGPT.
If I read a post you shared with that word I'll judge you quietly.
I don't care what they claim to be working on but Nest Hub Max is unusable. Now, not only do I get thrown links for everything, the screen doesn't even show the links all the way. Half the content is cut off, like WTF.
What a total shit show.
Ever thought about how seasons are really just cycles (e.g.economic cycle) in disguise? I mean in time series analysis, we distinguish between cyclical and seasonal patterns. But with seasons always coming back around, aren't they fundamentally cyclical?
Actually not a bad use case to test/validate.
What I want to know is if this #Wendys "orderbot" will roast you in the drive-thru .

@abraham I hope this takes off.
I'll take solutions looking for problems to solve for 100, Alex.

Just saw Morbius. Perhaps it's my taste in standard fare superhero movies but it wasn't as bad as the internet made it out to be.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Are we not going to talk about Bing replacing Cortana as the Microsoft/AI brand identity and their product's interface to their AI services?
The US govt needs to fund its own Counter Al Safety Force or something because companies are not incentivized to reduce the harmfulness of Al systems. The threat is too great and govt is best suited for this kind of work.
@lehtimaeki I never understood the decision to bring the wall of links to Nest Hub.
