As it seems to be a good time to mention, also OpenMage is on the search for more financial support to give our maintainers more stability and support.

🚨 ⚠️ Emergency PSA: A critical security exploit was discovered in the xz package recently, used for compression and decompression on nearly all Linux distributions.

Rawhide users ARE impacted and should immediately STOP using Rawhide until the package update is fully rolled back. (1/3)

Ever thought about contributing to DokuWiki but didn't know where to start?

We have a few issues labeled as "good first issue". These are usually clearly defined features and enhancements that do not require too much knowledge about DokuWiki's internals as a whole. Some even have difficult ratings (from easy to complex).

Pull Requests welcome!

in some smaller News, we started an OpenCollective account to collect sponsorings. To then have some founds available to finance parts of our work, and also to work on some parts where we could not attract volunteers for.

Its still only the beginning and we are open for any feedback or wishes

Unsolicited advice for open source maintainers: when you start feeling those tendrils of burnout, give yourself permission to hack on something in your project which *doesn't* move the needle. Literally tack into the wind.

You maintain this project because you like the technology, and most of the time OSS burnout comes from the endless Issue queue and not from code. So give yourself permission to enjoy the code for a change.

Or just chill. That's okay too <3

I am thinking about doing a relaunch of MeetMagento DE but including other #PHP-driven #ecommerce frameworks.
Is meet-magento.de still alive?
Is anyone willing to help? DMs are open!

#DDEV just got its second major financial sponsor! Our goal is to get to $10K/month for sponsoring a second full-time dev, we're at about $2.5K now. Does your agency or org want to step up and become a major sponsor? Give me a yell! We do support contracts, invoicing, etc.

What do you want from OpenMage to make it competitive for the future?

github.com/OpenMage/magento-lt

The year ends, a new one starts.
We got stability, continuity and compatibility(with modern php/sql) covered.

Now we know the various things our "competitors" are up to.
So looking at them, what are the features which are most interesting for you, or make a relevant difference to change to them because we dont have them(or not good enough)

On Dez. 22 the #OpenMage Project merged one of its biggers changes yet. The extraction of the lib/Zend directory, the former ZendFramework(1) code, and replaced it with the zf1-future (Shardj/zf1-future)
