I guess I got lucky. That #linux kernel upgrade didn't goof up the audio and bluetooth drivers for my #MacbookPro. Happy day!

Hundreds of thousands of Computers won't be able to upgrade to Windows 11, but that shouldn't make them eWaste.

NixOS is going to give me a headache. lol

I can connect to Bluetooth once I log in. But I need Bluetooth (keyboard) to login. My Bluetooth adaptor is plugged into my PCs front USB port. I have the following in my config:

# Powers on Bluetooth at boot.
hardware.bluetooth.powerOnBoot = true;

# Enables Bluetooth
hardware.bluetooth.enable = true;

I am using KDE Plasma, which means the login manager is SDDM.

Im Januar 2024 hat das #openSUSE-Projekt bestätigt, dass es mit #Leap16 einen Nachfolger von Leap 15 auf der Basis von #SUSEs neuer Architektur #ALP (Adaptable Linux Platform) geben wird. Jetzt steht die Beta zu Leap 16 bereit. Die Adaptable #Linux Platform (ALP) wurde mittlerweile umbenannt und bildet als SUSE Linux Framework One neben dem Grundgerüst von SUSE Linux Enterprise 16 eines der beiden Säulen von Leap 16.

So for years I've had this weird issue where if I start playback of any sound source, pause it for more than a few seconds and start again, I don't get any sound for the first second or two.

Turns out it's just the ubiquitous "soundcard being suspended when inactive" issue. Adding the config file from

immediately fixed the issue.

Super happy right now. I am again one step closer to the perfect Linux install. Soon I will be unstoppable!
