The 1-to-1 trackpad gesture navigation is like my favorite thing about LibAdwaita applications. I'm not used to using a lot of gestures on a laptop since most widget toolkits usually don't support it. I also think it's funny that LibAdwaita has better gesture navigation than the entirety of the Android SDK. :soft_dab:

Does Kirigami support it? :otter_peek: I keep meaning to play with more Kirigami apps but being such a GNOME baby I never really get the chance.

I spend more time in Fractal just swiping between my chat and message list than actually talking to people, it's so fun :evil_colon_three: :blobcatbouncefast:

Oof. Upgraded #ly this week and had a manual intervention required step that wasn't displayed anywhere during normal upgrade steps. Having to review their CodeBerg repo for breaking changes seems super user unfriendly. It wasn't the default greeter during my setup, so they get a slight pass, but it being an option on #archinstall is a bit of a faux pas. Latest FFmpeg versions (5.1.8, 6.1.4, 7.1.3, and 8.0.1) released in November 2025 (all with additional commits and fixes from git) are now available to #SavOS private PPA users of #Ubuntu #Linux at ppa:savoury1/ffmpeg{5,6,7,8} respectively for all PPA supported LTS releases.

@dehypotheses Ähnlich ist es mir gegangen, als Winzigweich der Meinung war, den Support für meine #Gaming Kiste Steampunkt einstellen zu wollen und es als nicht brauchbar für Windows 11 zu erklären.
Als ich das Ding gebaut habe, gab es kein #Proton (#Wine auf Steroiden) und ich habe #Linux for work and #Windows for Gaming praktiziert.
Allerdings nutzt #Valve ja inzwischen #Arch wegen ihres #RollingRelease Updatezyklus. Ich benutze #Manjaro - ist wie das Original nur mit easy peasy live installer.
Ich bin begeistert. Nun müssen nur noch die Spieleentwickler auf #Vulkan entwickeln und nicht #DirectX...

figured out one thing, something else goes wrong *immediately* after, and it's all about minute details in the *one* config file (which was supposed to simplify everything) that i can't figure out. again. i'm done.

i don't wanna be cool linux admin anymore. i want to install things that work the first time. i want to actually have a server with the one, singular, app working before the year's out.

i fucking hate computers. i hate that i'm compelled to do this at all
