Gosh, this proposals has several issues (that you all pointed out). two possible killers:

Seawater has contaminates that make it difficult to use directly for evaporation.

Capturing the fresh water from the outgoing humid air would be difficult. (a big tent that would condense? if this worked, we could capture the fresh water to go back into the coolers)

and other issues-- thank you for thinking this through.

The husband and I did door duty last night so the 3 yo nephew could take his parents trick or treating.

A young couple came to the door with their toddler and they were clearly surprised when we opened the door.

"We're the gay uncles doing door duty while the family is out trick or treating," I explained.

Without missing a beat, the dad looked at us, smiled, and responded "Nailed the costume!"

Because they have cameras on the dumpsters and security will be sent out when they see them on the monitors.

This isn't new. Grapes of Wrath was published in 1939:
