I intend to use my profits from the game to fund and uplift creators less privileged than he is. I’ve already begun that effort with the Draknek New Voices Puzzle Grant: grants.draknek.org/

@grumpygamer I forgot where I read that some Cybertruck drivers were complaining that even other Tesla drivers were giving them the middle finger when driving by. Presumebly because the Cybertruck is a clear sign that you knew what you were getting into.

@GameFromScratch I didn't even know of this thing's existence. Just tried it out and it seems like it is the direction I would have prefered JetBrains to take in the future even though I understand that the economic incentives are not there for them.

Also give me suggestions for a distribution. It is an Intel/nVidia machine because sadly AMD is sleeping at the wheel when it comes to laptops and the most demanding thing it will do is game development.

I am getting a new laptop this weekend. Please encourage me to install Linux on it. I have tried different Linux distributions since 1998 every couple of years and it never resulted in a working system even after tweaking. But Windows hates me and I can't take that any more.

The game is for Microsoft but not exactly the way people are suggesting. It might be a lower effort entry and it might be a way to test drive Unreal Engine. My guess is that most people on the team have never worked on a Halo game and need to learn how to make one.

@kenney For entirely unselfish reasons, I'd like her to keep going and then perhaps releasing game assets!

Can we go back to having a single reality? Please?

This is the first time in decades that I am mainly playing with a non-Xbox controller on PC and the lack of support in games for controllers that are not XInput compatible is downright shocking. Even with the Steam input layer I get no rumble even though it works in the test UI.

@shivoa I don't understand how they expect to pay the debt in the next 20 years. Did someone convince them that they will be able to cut costs by replacing half the people with AI? Is it not expected to pay the debt?

What sealed the deal is that it doesn't have any skill tree or rogue-like elements. I hadn't noticed how much I missed this.

Played Assault Andoid Cactus on the Steam Deck on a whim and I enjoyed it significantly more than expected. It's charming, has the right amount of juice, is still readable considering how much is going on and has rather simple rules that let you use your brain the right amount.

Often when our list of Adobe alternatives is shared people comment that it's okay to pirate Adobe software. It's not, because that still supports Adobe through usage and staying in their ecosystem. Instead, do look into alternatives!

The PC Xbox app decided to change my settings so that it includes games from other shops without asking me. This is now a Microsoft complaints thread.

I also have two pre-installed Sticky Notes apps on Windows. The "new" one seems to lack floating notes, fails to delete a note if you use the wrong delete button and can't adjust size dynamically to the content. You also can uninstall the old one but not the new one.

Modern Microsoft engineering: 8 recent captures out of 6 total. If you go to "show all" you only have access to 6. Thanks, Copilot!

Anyone remember Ninjai? #pixelart

A pixel-art rendering of Ninjai and Little Bird.

Whoever made the animations for the Big Sister in Bioshock 2 did a great job.
