Tl;dr oil mining accidentally breaks into a salt mine in a lake and causes a giant sinkhole that literally drains the lake and sucks in a lot. My boss told me about this and showed a YouTube video on it, the visuals make it even crazier.

Alright fedi new laptop you know what time it is, Linux install. (#fedora #kde ), now that this thing has just randomly decided it’s okay booting from the etched media time to figure out the checksum failure. The internet sages have given me insight and currently etching, if it is what Reddit says it is I’m going to cackle so hard. Besides that, any recommendations for apps/tools to put on this thing/ways to improve battery life? (Still need to confirm if battery is a hard- or software issue)

I guess my Mastodon mobile app recently updated cause it’s snazzier now and I learned there was apparently someone[s] who’s notifications(follow, favorite, reply) were just getting shadow realm hidden in my “Notifications from people you may know” tabby for 3 damn months. Silly mastodon(or maybe I’m just being a fool since I’ve proooobably checked on web version since then???) anyways sorry to them blame John mastodon

Make it explicitly clear that you will not tolerate any sort of misgendering. Do not play the "centrist" who refuses to reprimand a contributor for repeatedly misgendering a trans contributor. it's not a "political disagreement" it's a basic sign of respect. Actually listen to trans people when they say things. Some forms of bigotry is not immediately obvious. I remember it was a night and day when I'd get in vc and people would immediately act uncomfortable around me and make side comments. They'd "slip up" in vc despite being used to calling me she/her and say "he" and then go "I mean she. I wouldn't want her to get offended". It's the snide comments, it's the shit that adds up. Listen to us, it's not just a case of "oh this person uses he pronouns for everyone by default" it's that after 3+ times of being corrected they continue making the same mistake going "sorry I forget that you're one of those".
