The Ratatui project is impressive no doubt about it.

There is little doubt in my mind that with given a keyboard (and a mouse) modal editors like #neovim or #helix are the best we have. And I don’t want to dumb it down at all. I love the complexity it has.
Obviously #vim prioritize sequential presses rather than holds, and for good reasons as that makes combos much easier…
But **How could we improve the learning loops of #vim ?**
How to integrate key chords and holds without hurting speed and modularity?
Hey, I was watching @scottjenson talk at #Ubuntu OS about #UX stagnation and it got me thinking about #learning loops in my favorite text editor.
There are good learning loops already with modes and modifiers, but I couldn’t think of an example of hold and press in #Neovim aside from modifiers or simple key repetition.
Why is that? How intentional is that?
Anyone willing to brainstorm with me on what that could look like?
@ngate
On a completely unrelated note, what do you think about this new bike concept?
Could I actually cure my depression
With more and better Music curation?
Gros respect pour le travail de récupération factuelle après l’exposé du présentateur. Les statistiques Bayesienne c’est pas intuitif. D’autant moins quand on les amènes pour satisfaire son biais de confirmation.

You can play with it here:
@jflessau
I think my opinion is skewed.
I am tackling many things at once that I am yet not comfortable with: UI, Graphs, Visualizations, egui, petgraph, egui_graph, etc.
All of it while spending little real focused time on it.
So my experience is one of drowning in complexity with low feeling of accomplishment.
Doing it from scratch is overwhelming, but tweaking their demo-core example works well.
@fasterthanlime Oh, my bad.
Maybe Oxdraw?
@fasterthanlime What about Charming?
@noboilerplate
I should have done it earlier, but I’m finally one of your patrons, and if I find a spot I’ll offer myself a coaching session in the coming months. :)
@jflessau
Slow progress is still progress.
I’m starting to understand egui_graph a little better.
That’s the data from Path of Exile skill tree. Looks dope.

Meanwhile: I had to make my own Clippy lint:

@dportalesr
Best reason ever.

“Don’t talk to me till I have my <T>” is beverage agnostic. I love it.
@amerpie It won’t take you long. It does what is says it does and it’s free. Just a straight up positive.
@fishingdev
That’d be something to ask @j_g00da and @orhun !
But MouseFood is quite flexible. :)
I'll give it a try. Thank you for the answer!
By the way have you heard of leader_key? I like it a lot.
