For the people who care, I can vouch that none of the libraries I publish feature any percentage of LLM generated code. With the way things are going I wonder if I should start making that a feature bullet point

@eobet Faery Tale Adventure 2! I did indeed wait 10 years for that game. I recall it being excellent, but 97-98 was a whirlwind time full of games for me, so I never finished it.

Sadly lost my copy in a 2004 house-fire. I loved the box art, one of those treasured items.

I'm really loving how Mastodon has become a refuge for all the grizzled seafarers on the ocean of the internet. They pop up in my feed and their bios all say something like

"I've been online for longer than the internet. I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. 56k modems on fire in the light of Usenet. I watched IRC forks glitter in the dark near the Gateway 3000. All those moments will be lost in slop, like tears in rain. Time to deshittify."

It uses most excellent "ufbx" library, but turns out there's still a lot of massaging the data into blender's data. Especially with skeletons/armatures and animations it is complex.

I just sold my Valve Index, which makes me a little sad-- Since I'd moved, my PC room is too small for room-scale VR. The Index (& my HTC Vive) has been in a box for more than a year.

The person I sold it to was thrilled to get it tho! They were quite animated about using it for full body tracking.

I'm trading down to a Meta Quest 3S so I can sit / stand VR in the PC room & easily go to other rooms when I need room-scale.

My favourite thing in the whole Fediverse is when I get a notification that someone has edited a toot I favourited or boosted months ago. Like, something in that toot has been bugging them for half a year. A comma that could've been a semi-colon. A spelling mistake they belatedly spotted. Some good information they wish they'd put in the Alt Text. And thanks to the magic of Mastodon, they can just fix it now, all these months later. I feel happy for them, knowing they can sleep soundly again.

Maybe it's the change in culture / atmosphere, but feels like it requires a higher level of trust lately that someone won't be awful, or just overall competitive even in cooperative scenarios.

I dislike the tech in part because it's so focused on the busy high-detail (muddy textures to my eyes) / overdone "realism" art style that's present in most AAA offerings. Makes it even harder to make bold art choices.
