Liberalism, US Law, and institutions are not bulwarks against Fascism.

Fascism arises out of weak/ineffective liberal governments, and is deeply tied to Industrial Capitalist societies - the very systems which arose out of Liberalism. Governments just like ours are prone to Fascism and the political choices Americans made in the 20th century ushered in Fascism.

Opposition to Fascism in our society requires us to be anti-Capitalist. And our government is deeply pro-Capitalist. Wrapping yourself in the flag and the constitution will not defend you from authoritarianism.

Anti-corruption and seeking the return of rule of law etc... will take us part of the way in undermining the power of Capitalists as Capitalism relies on theft. But it's too late to rely on this alone as this is just a means to keep Capitalism "healthy".

And Libertarianism - advocating for Individual Freedoms - only feeds the beast as this empowers Capitalists to be authoritarian.

You have to be anti-capitalist to fight American Fascism.

Purple Friday continues to grow: ‘good, especially in times of hardening attitudes’

More than 3,000 schools in the Netherlands, from primary schools to universities, celebrated Purple Friday today. Children wore purple clothing to stand up for children who are, for example, gay, lesbian or transgender. Purple in the rainbow flag stands for being yourself.

This year marked the fifteenth anniversary of Purple Friday. More schools participated than last year.

ChatGPT verifies that *IT* doesn't track conversations, but admits that OpenAI does keep logs of conversations. And these logs are connected to users via sessionIDs, user accounts, billing and API keys. It verifies that these logs would freely be handed to the government if requested in one of these court ordres.

So.... if you happen to think Nazis are bad and ask a question about them, be aware that you literally just made yourself a terrorist and evidence of that is logged and available to the government at it's whim.
