Yup, the house finally gave up and the emergency heat turned on. Can't keep the fires hot enough all night without getting up every two hours, and that's a nope. Got them all rolling now tho.

In November, I submitted a thing to MSRC thinking I found a new AD CS CVE. I was SO hyped.
NArrator: he had not found a new CVE.
Turns out I conflated some PKI role definitions and misunderstood security boundaries. I'm supposedly an "expert" in this stuff. 🤦
BUT! The underlying behavior IS still interesting. "Dangling templates" happen when you delete a cert template without disabling it first, and they can lead to unexpected template enablement.

I was shocked when my wife ran into this giant recall of 2000 items, some of which we use! And she was reading it to me I'm thinking "wow I haven't seen one of those kind of recalls in a long time this place must have been a mess."
Reads like a nightmare, we started considering what we should start checking and then we looked a little further down the page.
