My partner, Erica, has been making a substantial amount of her income on Patreon for a long time, getting paid per song creation. This change will likely lose her most of her income.

So, I'm pissed off about at Patreon for their betrayal of artists. Details below...

Basically, Patreon is caving in to Apple's greedy requirement of Apple slurping up 30% of the subscription income made from in-app purchases in iOS.

This would be only slightly awful if Patreon weren't also getting rid of per-creation Patreons, even for contributions outside of Apple's iOS platform.
