Piccadilly Circus has one of my favorite tiled staircases. This one is very iconic, and a great example of some of the beautiful tile patterns that are on show across the network.

Do you know why there were so many “women”(men in drag)in red tonight?

John, an old friend from the early 2000s blogging era, met up with me for dinner last night. This is the first time we’ve met up in person. I’m glad I suggested this restaurant; it was delicious and quiet; we could take our time; and there was a huge night market going on in the Castro afterward. We walked over to 18th in front of Mollie Stone where we connected with Tina and saw a drag show hosted by Sister Roma with Willam, Sonique, Adore Delano and Jorgeous. There was a rare magic in the air; the vibe in the Castro felt like one of the old Pink Saturdays.

Over dinner, I was telling John that Mastodon reminds me of the best social parts of the old blogging days. I mean where else would you meet up for someone for dinner and feel like you are picking up a conversation that you’ve been having online for years.
