We made hot sauce yesterday and I think that activity will be moved outside the next time. Stewing 40 mesquite smoked scotch bonnets in a thick adobo sauce of mostly ground chilies indoors is a bit straining on the respiratory system to say the least

Most of the garden this year is allocated for peppers and hot sauce ingredients. So we're experimenting with different recipes to have ready when harvest time rolls around

Worse, by far, but absolutely on board with criticizing Bernie. I haven't seen the politician yet who doesn't warrant criticism, but Hillary was definitely worse than the median. A prime example of why the Democrats fail to be the obvious choice they should be. Running against the GOP, every election SHOULD be theirs to lose, they just continuously manage to do so.

I saw a tiny little guy like that chasing some small insect under one of my pepper plants the other day. They were both miniscule, but the slight motion caught my eye. The insect was holding their lead when suddenly the spider leapt forward several times their body length (maybe a half inch, but impressive at scale). It was like a lion taking down a wildebeest, but SO TINY.

In the 1990's anarchism was an obscure fringe ideology. Now anarchist protests are a regular part of urban life in every large city in the USA. People are more likely to talk about it in positive terms, or else they're scared of us (this is also positive). It's pretty incredible to me how much progress we've made in my lifetime.

When I look at my core values, I was **always** an anarchist, I just didn't know it. As someone who graduated in the 90s, my US public school education had done an excellent job convincing me that anarchism was an obscure fringe ideology and it took many years to unlearn that.

I've come to the conclusion that the Democrat side of the Senate is haunted by an immortal human-hating vampiric entity that must always be in complete control of one Dem Senator at a time. It was Joe Manchin for a long time, but when he left the Senate chamber for a final time the entity jumped into John Fetterman to stay close to the true source of its power - a soul jar hidden behind the toilet in that one cramped stall at Hawk 'n' Dove.
