Like a lot of us actually know and, say, went to high school people who would read this and say shit like "You make fun of freedom-loving Patriots but let's see how funny it is when our True Heroes of Freedom have redeemed the country and feed your entrails to their pigs for your heretical opinions on healthcare" and not even blink a fucking eye.

Freedom to do a coup and make America a fascist fuckscape reigned over by unanswerable joyless pricks is a weird notion of freedom, but it's pretty conspicuous that that is exactly what people who say and type "FREEDOM" a lot and have a lot of American flag clothing are ready to shoot bullets into me for.

I don't like to get too political but it is probably worth noting that every remote, even minor attempt to make life better for the vast majority of human beings on Earth is thwarted by a dead-ender cult of predatory capitalism that weighs and measures the shittiest people the species ever shat out and rewards the most sociopathic among them with carte blanche and membership in an exclusive club of officious born-wealthy overlords whose guiding mission is to bankroll enough dipshit redneck government-hating ethnic-cleansing-happy evangelical orcs and rile up enough hyper-credulous bigots to vote for them to take a sufficient number seats in any given parliament or legislature to roll back the Enlightenment until rich people can achieve their consensus goal of encoding a rebranded feudalism that makes the latter a Godly Elect accountable to no one and rendering the rest of humanity digital serfs bound to serve them by relentless cycles of debt and convinced that this whole setup is "freedom," with a handful of the stupidest and most pious amongst them willing to overthrow governments and murder whomever their masters point them to in order to achieve the latter's beneficent design, and this might read a bit hyperbolic if the assholes didn't say all this shit out loud into mics and had not already made these things happen in real-time in front of our fucking faces.

I've been in the garden today filling the garden waste trashpack. A little cooler and drizzling which was lovely. The Hibiscus plants (both side of the path) are full of buds about to burst and the banana pups are coming up.
