I bought a Pixel 9a for my birthday, but in less than 1 hour, I managed to brick it... without doing anything. It's already on its way back to the store.
Just have to buy it again, I guess.
Initially, I wanted to wait for the Pixel 10 series so I would replace my OnePlus Nord after nearly 5 years, and install GrapheneOS, but 2 years of growing problems has moved the date closer.
For a few days now, I have issues with my OnePlus Nord, some apps don't open, they stay in a blank loading screen.
I've found 2 ways to get them working again, either restart the phone, or clear their data (clearing the cache doesn't work).
Any idea what else I can try?

I completely switched from OneNote to @joplinapp (self-hosted) last year.
I'm so happy with the change. Simple yet effective.
I also tried Notesnook for a while but didn't keep it. It's quite good however.
@famubu It only depends on your definition of a sport. I guess for you a sport needs to be athletic?
Personally, I consider a sport to require physical dexterity, and sometimes strategy, so I consider many e-sports to be actual sports.
Additionaly, I don't mind the other videogames competition to fall into the e-sport category to represent all electronic games, even if I don't see a sport aspect but only a strategic one.
I wish every app just had a single simple purpose, and you could add additional features by installing a plugin / extension for each.
This way, everyone could set up its app as they want, have a lighter app, and be happy on how it works.

@pressgirlk I had heard about Mullvad only because I am interested in security/privacy.
When I was in NYC last winter, I was surprised to see ads for it in the subway.
At least in France, Nord VPN is very popular because of their intense ad campaigns online. I wish people knew more about Mullvad or even Proton.
I really appreciate my adventure of learning Rust.
I even use it for uni projects when I can.

But now, every time I think of something, I write it down for later, and it proves I actually had ideas. Maybe too many 😂
I still have 2 problems:
- I spend my free time doing other things I like (sort of a problem)
- There are things that would take me so much time to learn before I could use them, and it's demotivating even before I start.

I used LaTeX to write an internship report, it is a very powerful tool but there are so many things that are not intuitive and there were sometimes strange behavior that I just wanted to find another tool, even if I now have a template ready.
Thankfully, I randomly discovered @typst and I am not planning on using LaTeX again!

It feels like company are being lazy and just want to reduce development costs with web-based apps rather than "standard" apps.
My position regarding snap and equivalents is a bit different. I don't like them, but I inderstand why they exist.
@LinuxClaude @TheEvilSkeleton @martijnbraam Last time I used Snap was last year on Manjaro, perfomances were far from native apps. Could it be different if it is a Ubuntu based distrib vs another one?
