@x4nw yeah Trash is incredible
They also have a great Discord.
I'm not super interested in painting As in circles. I will, however, throw that A in a circle.
Time for bed.
Sweet dreams, comrades ✊ 🏴 🕊️

@CedarTea nope, I must be thinking of something else
@CedarTea I'm trying to remember, is that the one with the broad, fuzzy leaves?
I cannot be trusted at a native plant nursery. I'm never gonna financially recover from this.
"But who would work without a market economy or bosses?"
First of all, ME. I'm a workaholic.
A year and a half ago I saw someone post that "Israel isn't a real nation, it's a colonial state whose borders were created through violence"
and my first thought was literally "oh buddy I got really bad news about where every nation-state's borders come from"
@fluffykittycat I have to use them on my accounting software all the time and they rule.
So look, I just want to get this shit out of the way right - I totally understand young people and Doomerism. We don't have a problem on that front; you are right not to have faith in the system, or your leaders, or anything about a free market fundamentalist society - they will not save us. My line is where some of you decide that because everything sucks, you have no future, and your life is a miserable quest to make rich men richer, that means that 8B humans might as well perish.
@FinalGirl I keep telling people all thess crackdowns on borders around the world is because of global warming.
The plannet is heating up and causing issues, especially in the global south.
Lots of people will need to migrate to survive.
Saving everyone who needs help from this would interfere with wealth extraction.
So the wealthy have decided to just let people die by clamping down on borders. They may or may not feel hatred, but they are indifferent to their deaths.
When you look at the multi-level structural oppression of extractive capitalism, and it's need for a consistent docile workforce to provide the economy (which is effectively labor turned into wealth) you start to understand punitive justice a hell of a lot more as a necessary force for capitalism itself.
I'm really starting to align with the Focault-ian view of punitive structures as a way to fight against "abnormal" people. Anyone who is "abnormal" (ethnics, cultural, gender, ability, sexuality, etc.) does not easily fit as a cog in the wealth-extraction machine.
“Where are the democrats?!”
They’re dying of old age. They are literally dying in office. We lost like 3 votes in the house because they are dead
I like this version more
'Hot take' but the mental health crisis is a perfectly reasonable reaction to the state of everything. Like falling off a cliff and a bunch of people asking if you've tried mindfulness instead of plummeting to your doom?

If you think about it, eggs are the real bird seed.
Life isn’t a highway, it’s public transport. You’re not waiting for “the one” that’s absolutely perfect: you’re getting the bus, and if there isn’t one to your destination, you don’t not travel- you take the one going closest.
