@zygoon I like the names yama and tomoyo. But I have no idea what they do.
By the way, I use GNOME OS. Before it is cool.

@zygoon probably with pam_exec.so? Just run a command that verifies the lid is opened. If it fails, then skip the next line. Though, not sure. Never used pam_exec.so.
@wbrawner for now I am still figuring what patches and firmware are needed. Once I get to a usable state with wifi+Bluetooth+modem+sound working I will try to daily drive it. For now it does not seem sluggish, but I have not done much with it yet. So I cannot tell.
Howdy all, I'm looking for work. While I'm not yet laid off, I know it is imminent. So if you have any leads for community/developer relations, let me know!! :) #lookingforwork #unemployed
@BrodieOnLinux @gnome Try to see if 2147483648 wraps around and becomes -2147483648.
I'm looking for a job!
To give a quick introduction: I'm Jamie, a designer and developer working in Open Source, primarily on the GNOME desktop for Linux. I'm an expert in GTK and Python, and have basic knowledge of standard web technologies (HTML/CSS) and static site generators. I also have some experience in technical writing and assisting others in creating apps.
If anyone is looking for someone in a related field, preferably remote (EU citizen), please reach out :)
Thanks to the work of pioneers from #postmarketos it is actually easy to install any Linux OS on some phones. Here is #gnomeos on a OnePlus 6 that was installed through USB using systemd-repart. A few tweaks here and there, but it is almost stock GNOME OS.
@cassidy @tbernard @vixalientoots The question is how to do it on GNOME OS...
@logbuch35mm If you have feedback on what did not work for you on GNOME OS, that would be interesting. Anything not working correctly? (I wonder about the touchscreen on that device).
@KekunPlazas ça va finir comme dans un film de Louis de Funès.
Idea of project: a nsswitch module that resolves "linuxjournal.com" to a black hole IP.

For the past week, I've been so angry and disappointed in the Linux community for being quiet in regards to any kind of celebration to advancing accessibility, but suddenly becoming vocal and supportive when privileged people start writing about how bad accessibility on Linux is while portraying contributors as the devils who don't care about anybody.
I'm so exhausted. I'm so demotivated. The Linux community really doesn't care about accessibility on Linux. No wonder accessibility on Linux sucks. No one wants to work on it because they keep getting bullied and pressured.

@forteller @aires @nyx_lyb3ra We should probably document this trick in the GNOME OS website. That seems very useful.
@jimmac I had to hold alt while booting. But then I get a black screen after kernel is booted. Well. Something more to debug.
@jimmac I have one unused. I should try. Did you do anything special to boot?
Have you heard Trump is getting blind?... Too much mass deportation.
