I’ll say this for going outside in heavy snow;

if you think inside isn’t warm enough, spend a few minutes wading through a hip deep (I’m 6’4” so “chest deep” for the rest of you 😁) snowbanks so you can clear the main door of the house.

It’ll feel nice and toasty when you get back inside 😂

I know the car saga has been a long one, one thing after another. this current news is going to put me out of a car for awhile. the main way I was making money. since then everything has been slow moving, regardless, I thank you for still being here.

@EntropySloth It is indeed a lot of snow south of Boston, and we’re getting a ton of wind that’s shifting directions, so that every window has a coating of snow.

(The cat is very annoyed by all this as he likes looking out the windows 😂)

I usually don’t post pictures that could potentially show where I live on social media, but I guess with this giant storm going on, I can make an exception this time.

Here’s a picture out our front door facing the street.

Our little cat just came running into the bathroom, demanding, as he does most mornings, no matter how cold, that the window be opened so he can sit in the sill and look outside.

And then he saw the storm outside and boom he’s gone. LOL

I think two things are true.

1. There are real productivity gains from using AI and jobs being lost as less hiring is done due to usage of AI tools.

2. However the vast majority of the past year of layoffs are due to economic conditions and anticipation of AI productivity gains not actual cost savings from AI.

One of my big frustrations about game reviewers (often white guys) is the way they're always complaining that MS/Sony etc dominate the game industry from one corner of their mouth, and comparing every game they play to something like God of War from the other corner.
