@murena @e_mydata My Fairphone 4 with /e/OS is still holding strong, but soon as it needs replacing, you'll be where I go! Probably will be on Fairphone 7 or 8 by then, haha

It's funny to me that despite owning a Surface Pro 7 that's sustantially better specced, more powerful and actually has a working touchscreen, having Linux on my Surface Go has made it a significantly more interesting device for me to use.

Though I also admit the portability of the Surface Go has been something I've really appreciated lately. 10 inch is such a cosy size compared to the 12-13 inch standard we usually see today.

I went to a talk lately that was mostly about something else, but the speaker came out with:

“If you only remember one thing from this talk, remember this. Everyone in this room who likes helping people, raise your hand.”

Every hand, or nearly every hand, went up.

“If you like asking other people for help, keep your hand up.”

Almost every hand went back down.

“As you can see, people like helping you. When you ask for help, you’re making them feel good, even if you don’t like asking.”

I’ve genuinely forgotten the rest of the presentation but I won’t forget that.

@craftyguy Extremely cool! It wasn't that long ago I slapped x86 pmOS on my Surface Go and I would have definitely appreciated having this to make it a bit more intuitive.

Felt like taking on something more intellectually demanding and went through the manual Arch Linux install on my formerly Ubuntu box, taking notes of each command and doing my best to understand everything that's happening in the process.

I feel like I only truly understood about half of what I was doing, but it'll be fun to fill in the gaps and I already feel like I've learned a bunch so far =)

@plasmamobile Got a OnePlus 6T as a secondary device of sorts which I use for experimentation and to more closely follow PostmarketOS and Plasma Mobile.

Would very much like to be able to use it as my primary device - I did daily drive Ubuntu Touch for a month on my FP4 and could absolutely see myself doing the same with pmOS & PM, provided calls & texts work reliably enough.

What started with a bang, ends with a crunch.  Zeem is more than happy to demonstrate this here!
