Yeah! I figured, but I wanted to say something just in case. :D
But yeah, not to sound like the other people replying, asking around on here is as good a place as any. And other tabletop groups on like tumblr or twitter or things like that.
I've only ever done it online with friends I already knew, so I dont have much advice that way, though from what I've found, is that if you're willing to DM, people will come to you easily.

If you're looking for something more in person, I used MeetUp to play dnd at my local game empire a while back. From what I understand it's still a good place to look for groups in your area.

Old WIP i did a while back (never finished it because i realized too late that it was in the wrong size/dpi and it looked terrible zoomed in) of a lizardfolk storm sorcerer I made a while back. She was supposed to be a former sailor and carry around a huge belaying pin as a staff.
I really just wanted to make a lizardfolk based off of a marine iquana <_<
Haven't gotten to play her yet, but i love her concept and i hope i get to bring her out soon

I once got lucky enough to have 2 nat 20s. So my tiny, half-naked halfling barbarian ripped her way out of spider webbing and then, while screaming, split the giant spider in half with her great axe. On the second round of combat.
