Am I doing this right?

@locustangerine yes! I run solarcene.community which is a fully solar powered mastodon instance, it runs of a small system so has aggressive power saving to the point that it will regularly shutdown to save power, so you'll social media will be limited. You can monitor it's schedule with @solar_bot

It's really an experiment but there are users that use it as their sole instance. I've actually not yet reached that point but have an account there @solaradmin

Hey! I’m CEO of a company that has just raised $10 billion for an app that takes the hard work out of enjoying music. Did you know, some people waste hours each day listening to “tunes”. Our AI will listen to it for you and summarise it in a 15 second scream leaving you more time to focus on what's really important in life: adding value.

Are there any apps or tools out there that combine traditional expense tracking with whatever it is that does?

I want to be able to record my expenses, see how much I owe others, and how much they owe me, and get a feel for all of my accounts. Does anything like this exist?

If you get a tattoo based on an outline from OpenStreetMap, you also legally have to have "(c) OpenStreetMap & Contributors" tattooed on you as well.

@ben Good news, but disheartening to see them ignore ActivityPub in favour of the AT Protocol. There's already been *so* much groundwork laid out on the ActivityPub protocol; why reinvent the wheel?

Just once, can Amazon stop updating book covers any time a book is adapted to a movie/TV show? This is worse than physical books with their "stickers" declaring "Now a major motion picture" or "Now on Netflix", and having actors on the cover.

If they can change the outside of the book, what's stopping them from changing what's inside the book? That's right, absolutely nothing.

@schrotthaufen @Gargron @ramsey @anildash I cannot vouch for suspension, but there is a widespread fear of content being muted or suppressed if it contains such words, which is why people came up with words like "unalive", "d3ad", "sewer slide" for suicide, and "pdf file" in place of "pedophile".

@robb Using Discord in place of actual documentation is a plague that's taking over. @Edent has written about it as well. shkspr.mobi/blog/2023/07/disco

While Discord would be optimal for taking feedback from users and gathering new feature requests, it absolutely shouldn't be used for documentation and support.
