Just watched a David Dastmalchian interview where he kept referring to #murderbot as a “robot” and “AI” instead of a person and wow that is some commitment to staying in character as Gurathin.

What if, if there's a season 2 of #Murderbot, we cast someone else as Murderbot?

Really enjoyed the first two books of the Bobiverse, i highly recommend them.

I'll put the series on pause for a couple of weeks to avoid franchise-fatigue, and resume reading the #Murderbot series: next one is Exit Strategy 🖤

I can't get over how relentlessly some people will misgender #Murderbot. Like, even when they're actively trying to spread a meme that declares that its pronouns are it/its.

Like, they/them *are not* the same pronouns as it/its. This should be really clear.

I've been telling my daughter that she should read #Murderbot for _years_, but she has a contrarian streak where she "doesn't like books people recommend". Well, last week, she said "fine, I need something new I'll give it a try."

Today: "Stayed up late to finish book 6. Has been a while since a book was good enough that I couldn't put it down to go to sleep."

I am still 100% pumped for #Murderbot!

@rikefranke I like spending time with Thara Celehar in Katherine Addison’s books (#TheGoblinEmperor, then #TheWitnessForTheDead and so on) and the audio books are very good.
If you’ve not already encountered them (relevant to your interests?) the #Murderbot series by @marthawells are excellent and also have very good audiobooks.
Finally, @AnnLeckie books are great and have lovely audiobook adaptations.

Reread the first #Murderbot book. Still works on this third read through.

While I quickly could overlay Alexander Skarsgård onto Murderbot (there‘s a whole story behind that) I find it hard to reconcile the obvious comical style with the books.

I mean, calling the people from Preservation „space hippies“ does miss the point, I think.
