@dweinberger @stevenlevy Absolutely agree! It's so easy for a tech billionaire to proclaim the market and the "techo-capital" as omnipotent, but the reality is different. Gladly, Vitalik Buterin released his d/acc ideology, which is more moderate, though still contraversial in many aspects:

@molly0xfff I also believe EA is much more dangerous given the close relationships with govts they have nurtured. At the same time, mainstream media like Forbes started quite an intentional attack against e/acc alleging its co-founder is some sort of a criminal.
@molly0xfff I think it is important to point out EA's hypocrisy of calling for strict AI regulation from which many of its backers will directly benefit. Both EA and e/acc are somewhat extreme, but e/acc seems much more sincere in its values, at least for now, whereas EA obviously cares much more about crushing the competition than AI safety.
@carnage4life Absolutely! No such list failing to mention Yann Le Cun or Andrew NG could be relevant. And what about Mustafa Suleyman? I don't even want to comment on the obvious lack of diversity...
However, it seems like someone somewhere suddenly got really scared of e/acc, and paid some money to imply that one of its leaders is involved in something shady. Was it Effective Altruism?
Quite a misleading and disparaging article by Forbes revealing the identity and aiming at somewhat denigrating one of the founders of the e/acc movement I just wrote about. I won't share the link because they don't deserve your clicks. Gladly, people on X are calling them out for violating the #privacy of Beff Jezos!

A couple of weeks ago, I was a guest writer for Track My Token with a piece examining AI and regulation, and how it may affect the innovation in Web3. So many things have happened since then that some cited facts became outdated.
However, my main point remains relevant - listen to the loudest voices calling to regulate AI, and don't take their good intentions for granted!
