Got to the final boss fight of our multi-year D&D campaign. Party came up with a 'plan' that was only slightly more complex than "kil dagron". We rolled four 1s in a row attempting to sneak up on it.
Kind of wondering what the dragon's going to do with the spare 3/4 of next week's session.
Hadn't built my Emperor's Children box, decided I wanted to go a bit more 90s with these lads...

Not much painting time recently, but I did make a start on some #HeroQuest minis. Not finding them super fun to paint tbh – the details are awkwardly soft in places so they're not the easiest to colour block, and washes aren't super effective in certain areas, but they should look good on the board.
Might go back and do some more work on the characters once I've got a few more monsters out the way!
@Spark I’m just doing my #HeroQuest minis atm and I've struggled a bit too – the models a weird mixture of detailed and 'soft', sometimes hard to know where areas of colour should end!
I ended up just picking a base colour for each mini (eg a cloak, or the fur on the barbarian's boots) and then doing variations of that colour for the other parts of the costume. Feels like they look consistent then!
When I was a kid, I used to buy these little Bomberman looking guys at grocery store vending machines. The toys had holes in their chest, in to which you could insert a marble, which you could then launch with a lever on the back.

For reasons not truly known to anyone, one of our state funded free-to-air tv channels* broadcasts The Fifth Element, five times in a row, on May 5th. Last year they only showed it once and people were offended, so this year it's once again five times in a row.

@koz @3dprinting Yeah I usually find within the variances between makers in the same expected scale they don’t need much resupporting — I just end up with tons of the same bits at slightly different scales 😄

he is closer than most
@virtualwolf Haha thanks! I airbrushed them ivory over a black prime months back, and have been playing with them in that state for a while. Finally decided it was time to do something with them – dry brushed with a couple of lighter off-whites and it really made them feel a lot more like a good starting point :D
