Is it just me or are devs using the word "opinionated" a lot more often for things? Like, I would assume that any app made by a human being would be opinionated to some degree. Is it just short form for lack of customization? #development #apps

Had my first call with a Psychiatrist today for my potential ADHD diagnosis... Turns out I do indeed have ADHD. It was an extremely affirming experience. After 30 years of living in this loud brain it's about time. The journey continues. #adhd

So as a brief little update, I had my first ADHD Clinic appointment yesterday. I think it went well but it got me to ask myself a lot of difficult questions.

I realized a long time ago that for me to exist in this world I had to create a lot of internal accessibility tools and systems. Especially for me to operate with confidence and competence.

It appears now that breaking down those tools and systems with a group of professionals will require a lot of resources... Wish me luck!

So out of nowhere today my Samsung S23 auto downloaded and almost auto installed a 'security update' even though I'm fairly certain that I had auto-updates off.

My partners phone wasn't so lucky. It updated and then auto-enabled Google Gemini and a bunch of other AI 'features' without asking... It also feels noticeably slower now.

This can't be a coincidence. I'm so done with Google / Samsung products forcing new AI 'features' on me without consent.
